Johnson Sisters Face Off in College Hoops Clash

For the first time in their basketball careers the Johnson sisters of St. Ignace were on separate benches. Randi and Mandi, who played together on LaSalle championship teams, recently competed against each other for the first time. The Gannon University Golden Knights, with Assistant Coach Randi Johnson, defeated Lake Superior State University 73- 64, with Mandi Johnson leading the Lakers with 23 points and nine rebounds Thursday, January 18. Randi, who also formerly played with her sister at LSSU, is in her first year at her new school.

Lakers Bounce Back

The Lakers, 12-5 overall and 7- 2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, bounced back to defeat Mercyhurst 79-46 Saturday, January 20, as Mandi Johnson scored 18 points and hauled down eight rebounds.
