LaSalle HS Bowlers Split NMBA Games at Alpena

The LaSalle High School girls and boys split their Northern Michigan Bowling Association games at Alpena Saturday, January 20.

Girls Defeat Wildcats,

Fall to Hurons

The St. Ignace girls defeated the host Wildcats and fell to Rogers City, improving their overall record to 2-2 on the season.

The Saints swept the baker scoring against the Hurons 111-99 and 139-85, while during individual scoring, Desi Allan led the way with 166-157 (323). Brooke Allan scored 170-136 (306), Meghann Colegrove 95- 164 (259), and Anna Krause 125- 131 (256) in the two-game series, and Misty Gamble bowled 137 and Sara Tafelski 126 in single games.

The girls lost both baker games to Rogers City 154-121 and 176-118, with Brooke Allan leading the way in individual scoring with 150-137 (287), Sara Tafelski 126-135 (261), Meghann Colegrove 126- 134 (260), Misty Gamble 125-130 (255), and Anna Krause 92-143 (235).

The girls individual averages include Desi Allan 142, Brooke Allan 140, Misty Gamble 137, Melissa Brown 136, Meghann Colegrove 135, Anna Krause 128, and Sara Tafelski 121.

Fall to Hurons

St. Ignace won both baker games against Cheboygan, 160-154 and 171-144. Derek Rutledge led the Saints individually with 232-224 (456). Jamin Corwin scored 174- 172 (346), Trestin Fogelsonger 170- 159 (329), and Andy Mullins 152- 152 (304) during the two-game series, while Jeffrey Gamble bowled a single game of 196 and Chris Binger had 184.

Rogers City won the baker games against the Saints, 255- 169 and 211- 203. Derek Rutledge continued his standout day with 211-254 (466). Chris Binger had 207-236 (443), Jeffrey Gamble 169-138 (307), Jamin Corwin 162-122 (284), and Andy Mullins 130-127 (257). The Saints stand 4-1 on the season.

The boys individual averages include Chris Binger at 218, Derek Rutledge 203, Jamin Corwin 177, Trestin Fogelsonger 176, Andy Mullins 173, and Jeffrey Gamble 169.

St. Ignace will travel to Cheboygan Saturday, January 27, with the boys battling Gaylord Blue and Gold teams and the girls taking on Gaylord Blue.
