Ballroom Dancing, Swimming Lessons Available in Rudyard

Ballroom dancing, swimming lessons, and kayaking skills will be available through Consolidated Community School Services (CCSS) in Rudyard.

Ballroom dance classes began Tuesday, January 30, and meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday for five weeks at Turner Howson Elementary School in Rudyard. The cost is $45 per person, and couples who sign up together will get a $5 discount per person.

American Red Cross swimming lessons, levels one, two, and three, will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. from February 27 through March 29 at the Rudyard swimming pool. Class size is limited and cost for the 10-session class is $35.

Three sessions of kayaking skills will be offered at $90 per session. Session one will be Saturdays, March 17 and March 24, from 9 a.m. to noon; session two will be Wednesdays, April 4 and April 11, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and session three will be Wednesdays, April 16 and April 23, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rental equipment is available.
