Detroit Couple Arrested in County

A car stopped for speeding on US-2 east of Naubinway in Mackinac County was found to contain 25 grams of cocaine, about $900, and electronic scales and other drug paraphernalia Wednesday, January 24. Mackinac County Sheriff's deputies arrested Nelson Eric Brown, 41, of Detroit, and Dwynita Gibson, 34, of Detroit. Both were arraigned before Judge Beth Gibson in 92nd District Court in Mackinac County, each on a charge of controlled substance, delivery/manufacture of cocaine less than 50 grams and possession of marijuana.
