LaSalle Boys Bowling Team Wins Two, Girls Record One

The St. Ignace boys bowling team improved to 6-1 on the season with victories over Gaylord Blue Devils' blue and gold teams. The Saints girls team stand 3-2 on the year after a win over Gaylord in Northern Michigan Bowling Association (NMBA) competition at Cheboygan Saturday, January 27.

Saints Boys Win Pair The boys notched a 331 to 313 baker scoring win in the first match, with Chris Binger bowling 269- 161 (430) to lead the Saints. His 269 game is the top single game in the NMBA this season.

Trestin Fogelsonger added 192- 190 (382), and Andy Mullins chipped in 147-139 (286) in two game series and Josh Feldman bowled 160, Jeffrey Gamble 159, and Jamin Corwin 157 in single games.

St. Ignace played well in the second match, defeating Gaylord Blue 396 to 344 in baker scoring.

The Saints were led by Jamin Corwin 162-227 (389), Derek Rutledge 176-206 (382), and Jeffrey Gamble 119-155 (274) in two game series and Trent Fogelsonger bowled 205, Josh Feldman 153, and Andy Mullins 108 in single games.

LaSalle Girls Down Gaylord

St. Ignace girls defeated Gaylord 310 to 235 in baker scoring and were led by M e g h a n n Colegrove with 170-148 (318), Misty Gamble 129-150 (279), Desi Allan 112- 162 (274), Melissa Brown 119-127 (246), and Sara Tafelski 92-97 (189) in two game series. Team totals were 1466 to 1464.

St. Ignace will travel to Rogers City, with the boys facing Cheboygan and the host Hurons, and the girls battling Rogers City and Alpena.
