Police Seize Cocaine at Mackinaw City More than $8,000 worth of powder and crack cocaine and other drug-related equipment was seized by police, leading to two arrests in Mackinaw City Friday, February 9, Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement (SANE) reported. Andrew Kosack, 47, and Tina Socolovitch, 32, both of Mackinaw City, were arrested and charged for possession with intent to deliver more than 50 grams of cocaine, felony firearm, and maintaining a drug house. They were arraigned at the 90th District Court in Petoskey Monday, February 12, according to the Emmet County Sheriff's Department. Police seized crack cocaine and powder cocaine, along with cash, digital scales, a handgun, surveillance equipment, a computer, two vehicles, and other personal property from the home on Wenniway Street. This is the continuation of an investigation that was started three years ago, and further arrests relating to this case are anticipated, said Detective Lieutenant Ken Mills of SANE. Law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation and arrests were SANE, Mackinaw City Police, Emmet County Sheriff's Department, and the Michigan State Police from Petoskey. |
