Cedar Cove and CCCS To Sponsor Digital Photography Class Feb. 20

Senior citizens can learn how to use a digital camera at a Tuesday, February 20, class at Cedar Cove Assisted Living in Cedarville.

The basic class will be offered from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will be instructed by Les Cheneaux Community Schools technology director Janet Haske.

Mrs. Haske will explain megapixels, compare digital photography to conventional film photography, and will teach participants how to operate a digital camera, how to transfer digital photographs to a computer, and how to share photographs with others.

Cedar Cove received a grant from the Les Cheneaux Community Foundation to buy a digital camera to help promote activities at the facility and provide a learning tool for senior citizens. The class is being offered to help seniors learn how to use the technology of digital photography.

Anyone who wants to take the class should register with Kate Ter Haar at the Les Cheneaux Consolidated Community Schools Services office in Cedarville by calling (906) 484-2256, extension five. Registrants can also call Kim Dunn at (906) 484-1001. The class costs $5. Class size is limited.

Cedar Cove is at 266 Mary L. Street in Cedarville, behind the former Hudson Hardware store on Meridian Street.
