Firearms Topic of Mackinaw Meeting

Firearms and the Michigan Frontier will be the topic of a meeting at the Mackinaw Area Public Library Wednesday, February 28, at 7 p.m. There is no charge for the program, and the public is welcome to attend.

During the presentation, Larry Young will talk about the role of firearms in Michigan from the mid- 1600s through the Civil War era. He will also talk about other tools used by frontiersmen, as well as the construction and research behind reproducing firearms and show handmade reproductions of firearms.
