Joseph Ralston

Joseph E. Rolston of Bay City was a Korean War veteran who worked for the Bay City Community Center for many years.

Mr. Rolston died at the age of 76 Saturday, February 10, 2007, at Saginaw Veterans Hospital.

He was born January 21, 1931, in Raco, to Charles and Agnes (nee Mason) Rolston.

While living in Bay City, he was a member of the Bay City Salvation Army.

He is survived by one daughter and her family, Debbie and John Lee of Kincheloe; two brothers and their families, Paul and Joyce of Colorado and John of Wisconsin; a sister, Vera McJennet of Centerline; a good friend, Jean Duquette of Bay City; 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rose LaPlount of Sault Ste. Marie, a stepson, John Rolston, and six siblings, Roy, Jim, Fred, Charles Jr., Verna, and Alice.

Local services will be Saturday, February 17, at 1 p.m. at Dodson Funeral Home in St. Ignace. Robert Belonga will officiate.
