Marvin Hauser

Marvin B. Hauser of Engadine worked as a police officer for the City of Toledo for 32 years until he retired May 1, 1973, and moved to Engadine. There he lived on the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club grounds, and was a 50-year member of the club. He worked as a self-employed carpenter and club maintenance employee for several years.

Mr. Hauser died Monday morning, February 12, 2007, at his Hiawatha Sportsman's Club residence. He was 90 years of age.

He was born April 2, 1916, in Toledo, Ohio, to Harry and Dora (nee Geer) Hauser.

He married Helen Kleinwatcher April 4, 1936, in Toledo.

Mr. Hauser was a member of the Big Mac Snowmobile Club, and his hobbies and interests included hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

He is survived by his wife of more than 70 years, Helen; two children and their families, Russell and Patti of Taveres, Florida, and Jane and Len Wooten of Spring Hill, Florida; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hauser is preceded in death by his brother, Harry Hauser Jr.

At Mr. Hauser's request, there will be no public services.

Beaulieu Funeral Home of Newberry assisted the family with arrangements.
