St. Ignace Marina Welcomes Early Visitors

"It is our first trip on the boat," Mrs. Freeland told The St. Ignace News. They are the first to dock at the marina this year, said Harbormaster Jeff Davenport, and although the marina was not prepared for the early travelers, he was able to accommodate them with access to electricity and diesel fuel. The couple spent the night on the water in St. Ignace. The marina will be staffed beginning Tuesday, May 1, but officially opens Monday, May 21, one week later than last year, Mr. Davenport added.
