Cindy Heard

Cindy Kay Heard of Drummond Island loved animals, especially horses. She trained hunting dogs, and sheltered any stray animal she could accommodate.

Ms. Heard died at age 42, Saturday, April 28, 2007, at her home.

She was born July 24, 1964, in Stoughton, Wisconsin. She grew up in Wisconsin and Colorado, where she was graduated from high school.

After a visit to Drummond Island when she was 19, she decided to make the place her home. While she lived on the island, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, and using her computer.

Ms. Heard is survived by her mother and her husband, Marilyn V. and Charles R. Sivard of Crystal River, Florida; her father, Ronald O. Heintz of Statham, Georgia; a brother and his family, Rick and LuAnn Heintz of Milton, Florida; two nieces, Cassandra and Renee Heintz; a step-brother, D. Paul and Tami Allen of Omaha, Nebraska, and two step-nieces, McKenzie and Morgan Allen.

Memorial services were Monday, April 30, at Lighthouse Christian Church on Drummond Island.

Reamer Galer Funeral Home of Pickford assisted the family with arrangements.
