Saints Girls, Boys Fourth at Inland Lakes

The St. Ignace girls and boys track and field team finished fourth during the 13-team Inland Lakes Invitational Monday, April 23.
The host Inland Lakes Bulldogs won both the girls and boys titles, while Onaway finished second in the both divisions. Mancelona took third in the girls and Bellaire placed third in the boys.
St. Ignace girls: Kelsey Cryderman won the 200-meter dash (28.17 seconds) and the 400 (1:03.29). Jaimee Bloxsom won the pole vault with a height of 8'0" to lead the Saints; Kristen Olsen placed second in the 800-meter dash and fourth in the 1600-meter run; Erica Ahlich placed third in the pole vault and sixth in the 800; Kayla Gustin took third in the high hurdles; Christi Therrian took third in the shot put; Chelsea Bosley placed fifth in the shot put; and Dani Ford took fifth in the 200.
The Saints 400-meter relay team of Caysey Brown, Dani Ford, Samantha Radecki, and Kelsey Cryderman won (55.88 seconds), while the 800-meter relay foursome took second, and the 1600- meter relay group placed fifth.
St. Ignace boys: Derrick Clark won the pole vault with a height of 12'0" and took third in the high hurdles. Jesse Becker won the 100-meter dash (11.4 seconds) to lead the Saints.

Ben Matelski finished third in the long jump; Shane Spring took fourth in the high and low hurdles; and Mario Calcaterra took fourth in the long jump.
The 800-meter relay team placed second; 1600-meter relay group took third; 3200-meter relay foursome placed fourth; the 400- meter relay team finished fifth; and the thrower relay took sixth.
Note: The results from the Newberry meet were not available from Newberry High School.
