Police Seek Tips in Sault Burglary

Police are seeking information about a burglary and attempted arson Tuesday, May 1, at Vital Signs on Peck Street near Meridian in Sault Ste. Marie.

Entry was forced into the building and $1,300 worth of damage was done. A Lincoln electric welder, Craftsman combination wrenches, Chicago grinder, pair of channel locks, and some Craftsman ignition wrenches were stolen, and kerosene was left on the floor near a lit torch.

Those who may have information about this crime are asked to call (800) 465-7867. Callers to Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous and tips leading to arrest could earn up to $1,000.
