Litzner Home From Fallujah

Marine Corps Reserve Lance Corporal Rand E. Litzner of St. Ignace returned home Monday, April 30, from an eight-month tour of duty in Fallujah, Iraq.

L.Cpl. Litzner, 20, a 2005 graduate of LaSalle High School, will enjoy being home, but said he is considering returning to duty in two years.

Fallujah, a Sunni Wahabi extremist tribal community which has proved to be one of the most dangerous areas for soldiers, is 40 miles west of Baghdad.

Mr. Litzner is the son of Joyce and Rand Litzner of Moran. He has three sisters, Candice Litzner, Jill Martin, and Tracy Miller.
