Lawrence David Libby Lawrence David Libby, 54, of Keldon, served in the United States Navy and most recently worked at the Chippewa County Recycling Center. Mr. Libby died Sunday, May 6, 2007, in Pickford Township. He was born January 28, 1953, in Sault Ste. Marie. He grew up in Keldon and attended Pickford schools. Mr. Libby served in the United States Navy before working for Atmosphere Furnace Company in Wixom for several years. He then moved to Sault Ste. Marie and, until last year, worked at the Chippewa County Recycling Center. Mr. Libby enjoyed working with motors, riding motorcycles, fishing, and sailing on his sailboat. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Barbeau. He is survived by his parents, Clarence Kenneth and Georgiana Marie (nee Bouchard) Libby of Keldon; a daughter, Krista of Santa Barbara, California; three sisters and their families, Helen and Nick Small of Keldon, Janet Coullard of Keldon, and Mary and Daniel Sherlund of Kinross; six nephews and their families, Richard Small, Robert Small, Anthony and Rhonda Coullard, Leo and Tracy Coullard, Louis Coullard, Eric and Deanna Sherlund, and five great-nieces and nephews, Phillip, Jessica, David, Jonathan, and Sydni Coullard. Mr. Libby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Maloza Libby and Louis and Delrose Bouchard, and a brotherin law, Dale Coullard. Visitation was Wednesday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Barbeau. Memorial mass followed at 11 a.m. with Brother John Hascall as celebrant. Reamer Galer Funeral in Pickford assisted the family with arrangements. |
