LaSalle Thinclads Compete at Rogers City, East Jordan St. Ignace boys and girls track teams competed at Rogers City Tuesday, May 8, and at East Jordan Thursday, May 10. Results from Rogers City: Mario Calcaterra, first in 200-meter relay (23.95), long jump (18'5.5"), 400 (54.29); Kelsey Cryderman- first in 200 (27.70), 400 (1:02.26); Kayla Gustin, first in high hurdles (18.38), low hurdles (57.20); Jesse Becker, first 100 (11.27), second in the 400; Chelsey Swope, first in the 1600- meter race (6:06.22), fourth in the 800; Dani Ford, first in the 800 (2:44.35); Shane Spring, second high and low hurdles, sixth in the 1600; Kristen Olsen, second in the 800, third in the 1600; Derrick Clark, second in the 200, fourth in the shot put; Ben Matelski, second in the long jump; Jake Weiss, third n the high jump; Chelsea Bosley, fourth in the discus, fifth shot; Allan Honeycutt, fourth in the 3200-meter race; Evan Everson, fifth in the 200; Paige Paul, fifth in the 1600; Stacy Goldthorpe, sixth in the 800 and 1600; Shawn Cowell, sixth in the 400; Stacee Schnicke, sixth in the 100; Samantha Radecki, sixth in the long jump. Results from East Jordan: Kelsey Cryderman, first in the 400- meter dash (1:02.36), second in the 200; Mario Calcaterra, first in the long jump (19'3"), fourth in the 200, fifth in the low hurdles; Derrick Clark, second in the high hurdles, sixth in the pole vault; Jaimee Bloxsom, second in the pole vault; Jesse Becker, third in the 100; Jake Weiss, third in the high jump; Chelsea Bosley, third in the shot put; Christi Therrian, fourth in the shot put; Ben Matelski, fifth in the long jump; Caysey Brown, sixth in the long jump; Kali Jo Marshall, sixth in the pole vault; Shane Spring, seventh in the high hurdles; Samantha Radecki, eighth in the long jump. The boys 800-meter relay team took fourth, placed sixth in the 1600-meter relay, and seventh in the 400. The girls team took first in the 800-meter relay, sixth in the 400, and eighth in the 3200-meter relay. Regional Sites, Dates Set Area track teams will compete in regional competition at two sites Friday, May 18. The St. Ignace and Rudyard squads will compete in Munising at the Division II regionals starting at 4 p.m. Meanwhile, Pickford will host the Division III regionals with Cedarville, Engadine, Brimley, Mackinac Island, and DeTour, the same day starting at at 2 p.m. |
