Les Cheneaux Students Earn Academic Scholarships

During Cedarville High School commencement ceremonies Sunday, May 27, Principal Randy Schaedig announced scholarship recipients and explained the new Michigan Promise Grant, a $4,000 scholarship for postsecondary education. Students qualified for the Promise Grant by successfully passing all sections of the MEAP test, and can use scholarships in their freshman year of college. Students who did not yet qualify for the Promise Grant still can by completing two years of post-secondary education.

"We are very fortunate to be offering over $21,000 in local scholarships to our graduates this year," Mr. Schaedig said. "We are very fortunate to enjoy such community support for education."
