Saints Softball Drops Doubleheader to Pellston

The LaSalle High School softball team dropped a doubleheader to Pellston Tuesday, May 29. The games were added to the schedule before the district tournaments at Rudyard Friday, June 1.

In the opener, the Hornets scored two runs in the second and third innings and added six runs in the fourth to win 10-2. The Saints tallied single runs in the first and third innings.

Saints stats: Laura Rickley, two hits, one run, three stolen bases; Misti Gamble, two hits; Katie Stelzer, one hit; Ashly Peterson, one run.

In the nightcap, the Saints scored four runs in the first inning and two in the third, but could not overcome the Hornets' offensive power, losing 13-6. Pellston scored five runs in the first, one in the second, five in the third, and two in the fourth.
