It's Summer Tee Ball Time

Anthony Nayback takes aim at the ball on the tee. Tee ball players began learning the basics of baseball, such as how to hit, catch, and when to run.
At left: Gavin Gustafson expresses his enjoyment at reaching first base during the first tee ball game of the summer at LaSalle High School Tuesday, June 5. The tee ball program, operated by the City of St. Ignace, has four teams - the A's, Mariners, Mets, and Indians - and 55 youth participating. Games are played each Tuesday and Thursday through June 28.
At right: Tee ball players Rachel Riegel and, behind her, Halley Halberg participate in the sportsmanship tradition of congratulating their opponents on a well-played game.
