Jean D. Burtt of Florida was a 45-year Cedarville resident who worked at the Cedarville Post Office for more than two decades before retiring and relocating to Florida.
Mrs. Burtt passed away May 12, 2007, in Zephyrhills, Florida, at age 95.
She was born March 9, 1912, in Horizon in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, to William John McKerracher and Florence Matilda Catherine Hawley.
She was a member of First Union Church in Cedarville.
Mrs. Burtt is survived by one granddaughter, Carol Koshmider, two great-grandsons, Keith Koshmider and Kevin Koshmider, and great friends Bill and Winnie Brennan. She is survived by three nieces, Joni Black Rood, Linda Black Baker, and Sylvia McKerracher Wong, and three nephews, Larry McKerracher, Donald McKerracher, and Ross Lyle McKerracher.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, William Pinder, whom she married in December 1937, and Jacob Burtt, whom she married in January 1956, and one niece, Norma Black Sink.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 25, at 9 a.m. at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township. The Reverend Jeffrey Meyers of First Union Church of Cedarville will officiate.
Reamer Galer Funeral Home of Pickford assisted the family with arrangements.
