'Movies Under the Stars' To Be July 2 and 3 in St. Ignace
Family Films Set for Little Bear East Arena

Two family movies will be shown on an outdoor screen on the north side of the Little Bear East Conference Center and Arena at 9:30 p.m. Monday, July 2, and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3.

Monday evening will feature the Disney movie "Cars," while Tuesday's showing will include the documentary on the building of the Mackinac Bridge, followed by "Night at the Museum."

The shows are free and concessions will be available. Also, Cheer America will be selling glowing necklaces for children.

"Movies Under the Stars" is a project conducted by St. Ignace City Manager Eric Dodson.

Great Outdoor Movies of Rochester Hills will provide an inflatable, 26-foot-wide digital screen. A Dolby surround sound system will be used. Those who watch from their vehicles can listen to the movie over their car radios.

Any profits from the event will be pooled into a city fund for similar events, said Mr. Dodson.
