St. Ignace Sixth, Seventh Grade Students Earn Awards

St. Ignace Area Schools distributed academic awards to sixth and seventh grade students Monday, June 4, and Tuesday, June 5. The awards and their recipients follow:

Classroom Excellence Awards for Sixth Grade

Mathematics: Molly Sweeney, Sarah Cullip, and Joe Ostman.

Social Studies: Molly Paquin, Kurt King, and Marina Brown.

Science: Kayla Ray, Zach Harrington, and Cody Therrian.

Language Arts: Wyatt Orm, Zach Harrington, and Kasey Bunker.

Special awards: The music awards went to Molly Paquin. The physical education award went to Chris Dumas, and the keyboarding award went to Molly Paquin.

Most Improved: Dorothy Chargo received the award in music, Cody Wiertalla received the award in keyboarding, and Kellee Waara earned the overall award.

Work Ethic: Marina Brown received the music award, Sarah Cullip received the keyboarding award, Curtis St. Louis received the physical education award, and Jaici Shiemke received the overall work ethic award.

Sportsmanship Award: Sophie Peters.
