Sharon Maxwell
Sharon Marie Maxwell died at her home in Kincheloe Monday, June 18, 2007, at the age of 51.

She was born in Sault Ste. Marie January 9, 1956, to George John Piippo and Mary Ellen (nee Obeshaw) Piippo.

She earned an Associate's Degree in business at Bay Mills Community College and went on to work as an accountant for the Bay Mills Indian Community, the Piippo Brothers, and most recently the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Ms. Maxwell loved life and lived it to its fullest, friends said, and enjoyed camping and bowling, sewing, and playing almost any game, particularly euchre. She leaves behind many close family members and friends.

Ms. Maxwell is survived by her parents, George and Minnie of Rudyard; two daughters, Leah Pomranky and Dana Pomranky, both of Kincheloe, Dana Pomranky's friend, Joe Pavlat of Kincheloe; a dear friend, Marty Nayback of Rudyard; a sister, Shirley Frederick of Utah, and two brothers, George Leonard Piippo of Arizona and Richard Scott Piippo of Big Rapids.

A service in celebration of her life was held at Reamer Galer Funeral Home in Pickford, Friday June 22, at 1 p.m. A gathering of friends and family took place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Memorials may be left to the Cancer Treatment Research Foundation at 1336 Basswood Road, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173.
