Birthday wishes to Darren LaVake July 4 and Destiny Stenberg July 9.

We had beautiful weather for last week's 32nd annual St. Ignace Car Show. Thursday was already becoming busy in town, with all types of fancy vehicles and lots of visitors. For quite a few folks, it's our favorite time of the year and we are proud of Nostalgia Productions, which pulls this all together.

A new evening activity caught the eye of motorists who passed by the Tiki Camp site last weekend. Phil Mol and his son, Adrian, of Grand Rapids, and Paul Brunsink of Woodhaven were enjoying movies projected onto their queen-size-sheet "movie screen." What a wonderful way to relax.

Ethan Bercot was graduated May 15 from Northland Bible College with a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in history and education. He has studied to be a student teacher. Mr. Bercot completed his studies at Greenbriar Christian Academy in Chesapeake, Virginia.

His brother, Eric, also was graduated from Northern Michigan Christian Academy May 31. He was valedictorian of his class. Both Ethan and Eric Bercot are the sons of the Reverend Earl and Shannon Bercot of Faith Baptist Church in St. Ignace. Congratulations to both.

Have a great Fourth of July.
