Rudyard Library Summertime Activities The Rudyard High School Public Library will reward children through 12 years old for reading, using book bags, book logs, crafts, and prizes. Summer hours at the library are Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. The library is closed Sunday and Monday. There will be three activity sessions for children at the library. Junior high students are welcome to participate in these. Wednesday, July 18, at 2 p.m. children can build scale models of the Mackinac Bridge. Thursday, August 2, at 10 a.m. children can meet at the library and car pool to the Trout Pond on H-40 for a hike, scavenger hunt, and picnic lunch. All activities are sponsored by the Hiawatha Shore-to-Schore Chapter of the North Country Trail Association. The annual used book sale will begin Tuesday, July 24, and run for two weeks. Aquilt show will be on display at the library the first week of the sale. To display a quilt, bring it to the library the week before the sale. |
