Local Students Earn Albion College Merit Scholarships Several local students have earned merit scholarships from Albion College, in recognition of their superior academic achievements and their potential for collegiate excellence. Daniel Olsen received a Webster Scholarship of $11,500 per year. He will be a first-year student at Albion College, He is the son of Brian and Trudy Olsen of St. Ignace. Allison Brown received a Charles Mitchell Scholarship worth $1,000 and a Presidential Scholarship of $13,000 per year. Miss Brown will attend Albion in the fall and plans to major in biology. She is the daughter of Ben and Claudette Brown of St. Ignace. Erica Ahlich received a Trustee Scholarship of $14,500 and a Verle Klungness Scholarship worth $3,000 per year. She is the daughter of William Ahlich of Trout Lake and Betty Litzner of St. Ignace. All three students are 2007 graduates of LaSalle High School. |
