Artists, Musicians Gather at Hessel
Les Cheneaux Dockside Event Showcases Local Talent

Fiber artist Roxanne Eberts of Hessel demonstrates spinning at the Les Cheneaux Artisan Cooperative's Music and Art Dockside Sunday, July 15. Surrounded by clouds of un-spun wool fibers and various fiber creations, her colorful display was accented by the lake behind her at the Hessel Marina Pier. Bright, sunny skies and brisk winds persisted through the morning and early afternoon hours, but rain and thunderstorms moved in later, forcing some of the performers and demonstrators to take cover from the weather.

Two-year-old Reagan Smith of Hessel enjoys the children's craft and activity area at Music and Art Dockside, where she was delighted by the bubble wands that afforded the opportunity to blow bubbles across the lawn. Fiddler Benjamin Gulder of Pickford, 15, joins folk musician Marty Feldhake of Stalwart at his performance during Hessel's Music and Art Dockside Sunday, July 15, at the Hessel Municipal Marina. Mr. Feldhake was one of four featured performers at the event. Cedarville painter Norine Rudd displayed a number of her framed originals, prints, and other items at the Les Cheneaux Artisan Cooperative's Music and Art Dockside in Hessel Sunday, July 15.
