DeTour Industrial Park To Get $25K

The Village of DeTour will receive a $25,000 grant, which will contribute toward establishment of an industrial park in the village. Congressman Bart Stupak announced the grant, Tuesday, June 26, saying it would help strengthen the area's economy.

"The creation of the industrial park has been an ongoing project for the Village of DeTour," Mr. Stupak noted. "This grant will help offset engineering costs related to the business park. Creation of an industrial park in DeTour Village will spur economic growth in the area and expand the community's tax base."

The industrial park being built is expected to consist of more than 33 acres of space for new businesses. In the immediate term, the grant is expected to assist three businesses and create 12 jobs.
