Clark Twp. Invites Comment at Public Land Use Forum Monday

The future land use of Clark Township is being discussed now, and township planners will host a public forum to get taxpayers' opinions Monday, July 30, at the Community Center in Cedarville. Everyone who lives, owns property, or has a stake in Clark Township is invited to attend the meeting and give their opinion about how land should be used and developed.

Starting at 7 p.m., participants will be involved in discussion and asked to share comments that will help influence Clark Township's new master plan and zoning ordinances. The public forum is one of the ways planners will be able to learn public opinion while updating both documents, a process that started this year. Clark Township Planning Commission has been working on this every third Tuesday of the month.

Some of the topics for Monday's meeting include developing the village areas of Cedarville and Hessel, providing and making guidelines for public access to water, waterfront development in Clark Township, and water quality.

Brad Kaye of Gourdie-Fraser, the planning firm hired by Clark Township, will be at the meeting to coordinate discussion.

Additional information can be obtained by calling Clark Township Hall at (906) 484-2672.
