Clark Township Board Meeting Minutes
Clark Township Board of Trustees July 19, 2007 7:00 p.m.
Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance: 7:00 p.m. Trustees Present: Leach, Nordquist, Hudson, Carpenter, Lofdahl.

Hudson amended the agenda to add New Business #8 to advertise the Land Use Public Forum in the St. Ignace News. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

Consent Agenda 1. Approval of Minutes: Regular Meeting June 21; Special Meetings June 28, July 17 2. Approval of General Fund Bills of $31,365.47 3. Approval of Sewer Fund Bills of $16,148.94

Lofdahl moved to approve the Consent Agenda with the stipulation that Linda investigate the sunscreen and bug spray and rectify the situation. Carpenter supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Nordquist, Leach, Hudson, Carpenter, Lofdahl. Motion Carried

Internet Service Carpenter moved to go with CenturyTel for high speed 1.5 MG service for $49.95 per month. Nordquist supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Leach, Hudson, Lofdahl, Carpenter, Nordquist. Motion Carried.

Les Cheneaux Club Sewer Extension Hudson moved to accept the agreement in lieu of a Special Assessment with the Les Cheneaux Club with the corrections as may be required by the Township attorney upon receipt of copies of the agreement and exhibits A & B. Carpenter Supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Nordquist, Lofdahl, Leach, Carpenter, Hudson. Motion Carried.

Recreation Park Funding Carpenter moved to enter into agreement with Mackinac County with the noted changes for the Recreation Park. Leach supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Nordquist, Lofdahl, Hudson, Leach, Carpenter. Motion Carried.

Sewer User Newsletter Leach moved to accept the St. Ignace News quote for printing and purchase postage for the Clark Township Department of Public Works sewer newsletter for a total of $428.22. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Nordquist, Lofdahl, Hudson, Carpenter, Leach. Motion Carried.

Downtown Development Authority Economic Development Hudson moved that the Town Board proceed with a grant from the community Foundation and if that is successful, to set up a meeting with Gourdie Fraser regarding a Downtown Development Authority. Leach supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Nordquist, Lofdahl, Hudson, carpenter, Leach.

Hillcrest Properties Request Hudson moved to send Mr. VanderBoegh a letter stating that we do not have the resources to own and operate a water system at Hill Crest Properties. Lofdahl supported. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

Water Circulators for Cedarville Bay Leach moved to table electrical improvements at Cedarville Bay until we get specs from an electrical inspector, either Duke Masse or Fred Bryner. Lofdahl supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Leach, Lofdahl. Nays: Nordquist, Carpenter, Hudson. Motion Failed.

Carpenter moved that Cathy work with Duke Masse with getting specs, preparing the advertising for the bids, getting a deadline and that Cathy and one other board member open the bids and organize the work. Hudson supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Nordquist, Lofdahl, Hudson, Carpenter, Leach. Motion Carried.

No Dumping Lofdahl moved to purchase six no dumping signs for $26.95 a piece plus shipping to be posted at the various affected areas. Carpenter supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Nordquist, Leach, Hudson, Lofdahl, Carpenter. Motion Carried.

Thank You Letter Hudson moved that the Clark Township Board send a thank you letter to the Watershed Council for the hazardous waste clean-up. Carpenter supported. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

Public Land Use Forum Leach moved to place an ad in the St. Ignace News - 3 column by 6 inch - for $157.50. Lofdahl supported. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Nordquist, Carpenter, Hudson, Lofdahl, Leach. Motion Carried.

Lofdahl moved to adjourn. Leach supported. Meeting adjourned.
