Rudyard Historical Society To Hear Bergsma Family Stories

Lorna (nee Bergsma) Lombard, a 1954 graduate of Rudyard High School, will be the featured speaker Thursday, August 9, at the Rudyard Historical Society meeting at 7 p.m. at the Rudyard Community Center.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Mrs. Lombard recently retired from a teaching career with Traverse City Area Schools.

She will describe her memories of growing up in Rudyard and will share information about the history of the Bergsma family.

The evening will include a bake sale and refreshments. The meeting is free and open to the public.
