No Injuries Reported in Monday Truck Fire

Firefighters from the St. Ignace Fire Department respond to a truck fire just off the I-75 ramp carrying westbound traffic into St. Ignace Monday morning, August 13. The axle on the truck, which is owned by a South Dakota man who was heading west onto US-2, apparently broke and punctured the gas tank, igniting a fire, said Fire Chief John "Bucky" Robinson. The man was uninjured. The truck was a total loss.
