St. Ignace 'Bark in the Park' To Take Place Saturday

The second annual Bark in the Park will be held near the St. Ignace Marina from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 18.

The event, sponsored by the Mackinac Animal Aid Association, will include a dog parade at 10 a.m., contests, such as Best Costume and Look-a-like, and demonstrations on agility, and K-9 and obedience training. Spectators are welcome.

Registration is $15 per dog. Proceeds will benefit homeless pets in the Mackinac County Animal Shelter in St. Ignace.

Last year, 30 dogs participated in the event.
