      When an eagle was spotted flying over the weekend celebration of the Rendezvous at the Straits Powwow and French Voyageur Reenactment Saturday, August 25, the Native American elders on hand saw it as a blessing from the Great Spirit to revive the powwow tradition in St. Ignace.
