Lula Florence Gregg of Riverdale was a former Cedarville resident who spent most of her life in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Mrs. Gregg was 98 when she died Saturday, August 25, 2007, at her daughter's home in Riverdale.
She was born July 8, 1909, in Sault Ste. Marie, to Albert and Minnie Mae (nee Scales) Wright.
She loved to be with her family, and she enjoyed baking, canning, fishing, and attending fish fries. She also loved her pet cats.
Mrs. Gregg is survived by five daughters and their families, Donna May and Stanley Stewart of Riverdale, Gertrude A. Murray of Lansing, Betty Lou and Glen Mascho of Winter Haven, Florida, Edith and Allen Stewart of Winter Haven, and Janice and Ralph Skellenger of Davison; five sons and their families, Robert and Agnes Gregg of Auburndale, Florida, Richard Gregg of Flint, Donald and Signa Gregg of Lansing, Ray and Lois Gregg of Cedarville, and Leonard and Shirley Gregg of Marion; 53 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren, and 74 great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gregg; two sisters, Thelma Staves and Edith Allen; two brothers, Henry Wright and Ernest Wright, and by a few grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Services were Wednesday, August 29, at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel in Ithaca. The Reverend Rolly Timmons officiated.
Burial will be Thursday, August 30, at 1 p.m. at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens near Sault Ste. Marie.
Reamer Galer Funeral Home of Pickford assisted the family with arrangements.
