Alan Morrison

Alan L. Morrison, 60, of Delta Junction, Alaska, was a U.S. Army veteran who was an owner and partner in several area businesses. Mr. Morrison died in Newberry while under the care of his family, friends, and Northwoods Home Health and Hospice Wednesday, August 22, 2007.

Born in Gould City October 4, 1946, he was the son of Cecil C. and Doris (nee Perry) Morrison.

Mr. Morrison was graduated from Elk Rapids High School, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He served during the Vietnam conflict from 1966 until 1969.

He enjoyed hunting. His passion was cooking, and he was an owner/partner in several area businesses, namely the Poor Boy Restaurants in Germfask, Mc- Millan, Gould City, and most recently in Delta Junction, Alaska.

He is survived by his siblings and their families, Elaine Davis of Newberry, Dale Morrison, Mary and John Kuemin, all of McMillan, Elwood Morrison of Gould City, and Bradley Morrison of Iron Mountain.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Duane Morrison.

No local services are planned. Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry is assisting the family.
