Charles Reeb Charles Frank Reeb of Drummond Island worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad for 32 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Reeb died at age 86 Monday, August 20, 2007, at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette. He was born April 19, 1921, in Ashley, to George and Gertrude Reeb. Mr. Reeb was active at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Goetzville, serving on the parish council and as an altar server. He was known by his church family for lending a helping hand wherever anyone needed one. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Sault Ste. Marie, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6165 in South Range. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Ann Rose Reeb; one brother, Glen Reeb of St. Louis, Michigan; three nieces; one nephew, and a stepson and his family, James and Jenness Pintar of Painesdale. A private memorial service with military rights was held at Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet. Reamer Galer Funeral Home of Pickford assisted the family with arrangements. |
