Milakokia Boat Launch Repairs Begin

The Milakokia Lake State Forest Campground boat launch repairs began Monday, August 27, reported the Department of Natural Resources.

The repair project is expected to take three weeks and the boat launch will be closed during the project.

Work crews will install floating silt barrier fencing, then begin dredging the boat launch area. The ramp to the boat launch also will be repaired.

The Milakokia Lake State Forest Campground is located in Mackinac County, seven miles southwest of Gould City via US-2.
