Accorneros Celebrate 50th Year

Sandra and Roger Accornero

Roger and Sandra Accornero of Plaza, North Dakota, and Hemet, California, celebrated their 50th anniversary Tuesday, July 31. Mr. and Mrs. Accornero are formerly of St. Ignace.

They celebrated in Plaza, where they spend summers. They were joined by their son, Nick Accornero, their daughter-in-law, Laurie, and grandchildren Alex and Andrew of Mill Creek, Washington, and their daughter and her family, Tonya and Corey Cartwright from Anacortes, Washington. Mr. Accornero's sister and her family, Jeanine and Charles Brown, from Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and St. Ignace, surprised them by driving out from St. Ignace for a visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Accornero were married July 31, 1957, in Lucedale, Mississippi.
