Christian Classes To Begin Thursday

Three Lakes Lay Academy will offer three courses for Christian adults this fall, beginning Thursday, September 13. Classes will be held at Zion Lutheran Church at 999 South State Street in St. Ignace, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays through November 15.

Class topics will include: Helping the Christian in Crisis: Pastoral Care in the Modern Era; Transformational Ministry or Creating Disciples in Congregations; The Gospels: A Survey of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Courses are $10 each, and participants must buy books. There will be a free will offering for a fellowship meal. Scholarships are available. Registration will take place at the door.

The Three Lakes Lay Academy is a cooperative ministry between Lutherans and Presbyterians in the area.
