      Felice Clara Kostecki of Rochester, formerly of Cedarville, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Crittendon Hospital in Rochester after a short illness. She was 88 years old. She was born August 1, 1919, to Walter and Rose Gutha Plagens in Hamtramck. She was the oldest daughter of eight children.

      Lawrence E. Vanoy, 56, of Cincinnati, Ohio, enjoyed a career as a contractor and excavator, and was a longtime summer resident of Marquette Island and Island No. 8 at Les Cheneaux, where he first visited first with his wife's family. Mr. Vanoy died Tuesday, September 18, 2007.

      Linda "Lynn" Kay Tokarczyk, 44, of DeTour Village, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at her home. She was born November 13, 1962, in Grand Haven, to Edward Joseph and Jacquelyn Marie (nee VerPlank) Tokarczyk. She grew up in Spring Lake and moved to the DeTour area in 1987.

      James Russell Johnson grew up on the family farm in Stalwart, and continued to work there until 1986, when he went to work full time at the Kinross Township Water Department. Mr. Johnson passed away at age 66 Thursday, September 20, 2007.
