Craig Skutt Honored for Heroism

Craig Skutt (center) of St. Ignace was honored by the City of Mackinac Island for his heroism in saving a man from drowning near the Island in August. "Thank you for using your training to save a life that otherwise would have been lost," stated the resolution that was read by Mayor Margaret Doud (right) during the Wednesday, September 12, meeting. Interim Police Chief Jim Marks (left) congratulated Mr. Skutt, who is an employee of Star Line Mackinac Island Ferry.
