Les Cheneaux Men's League Winners Announced

The Ang-Gio's team of Cedarville won the 2007 Les Cheneaux Men's Golf League by one stroke.

The team of Chip and Jeff Autore, Jason Smith, and Dave Landreville were named the winners at the league's banquet Wednesday, September 5.

Garland Drywall of Cedarville was the runner-up team. The team includes Bing Garland, Scott Dewitt, Bob Newell, and Mike Freel.

Ang-Gio's won the first half of season league's season play to qualify for championship play, and Garland Drywall won the second half of the season. Both teams competed in a playoff to determine the season's champion and runner-up.

Other results and awards for season follow: First-half runner-up - Garland Drywall; second-half runner up - Cochran Construction; scramble winners - Causley Paint; scramble runner-up - Jack's Livery; overall most valuable player - Bing Garland with 95.5 total points; firsthalf most valuable player - Jeff Autore with 53 points; second-half most valuable player - Mark Izzard with 49 points; lowest net - Dan Maleport and Jason Smith with 28; and lowest gross - Jeff Autore with 32.
