Yacht Club Elects New Officers

At the St. Ignace Yacht Club's annual business meeting and potluck dinner at the Marina Pub Saturday, September 29, the following members were elected for the 2008 season: Eugene Elmer, commodore, Barbara Yshinski, vice commodore, and Jack Goudreau, rear commodore. Linda Monville was elected secretary, while Mollie Goudreau was named treasurer. Fleet captain is George Yshinski. John Monville is flag lieutenant, and Reverend Norbert Landreville was named chaplain. Mrs. Yshinski, Roberta Droskie, and Leona DeKeyser are members of the events committee.

Commodore Elmer thanked this year's commodore, Jim Bishop, for his service to the club. The events committee is working on the Christmas Dinner Party, which will mark the end of the season.
