St. Ignace To Host Junior Football October 13

Junior Saints 4-1 on Season

St. Ignace junior Saints football team improved to 4-1 on the season after defeating Newberry 32-0 at Pickford Saturday, October 6.

Saints offensive stats: Drew Duffie, six carries for 148 yards, two touchdowns; Nate Montie, four carries for 26 yards, one touchdown; John Eby, five of nine passing for 31 yards, one touchdown, one rushing touchdown; Ryan Marshall, one reception for two-point conversion.

Saints defensive stats: Levi Thompson, nine tackles; Ryan Marshall, five tackles; Nate Montie, four tackles; Joey Campbell, Aaron Colegrove, Corey Beaudoin, Dane Mortensen, Brandon West, Galloway Thurston, three tackles; Ben Byearski, Curtis St. Louis, Richard Bentley, Drew Duffie, Joseph Krause, Cody Therrian, Louis Radecki, Parker Simmons, two tackles; Brennan Danielson, Blake Ruddle, Dylan LeVeille, one tackle.

Jr. Football Games

St. Ignace will host four junior football games Saturday, October 13, at Saints Field. The first game will feature Pickford and Sault Ste. Marie at noon, Brimley and Newberry at 2 p.m., Engadine and Cedarville at 4 p.m., and the Saints and Rudyard at 6 p.m.
