P-P-K Winners Advance to Traverse City

Seven local youths advanced in the National Football League's annual Punt, Pass, and Kick contest Saturday, September 29, at Saints Field in St. Ignace.

In the boys division, Andrew Goldthorpe won the 8-9 year old class, Tyler Snyder the 10-11 class, John Eby the 12-13 class, and Gunnar Zipp the 14-15 class.

In the girls division, Leana St. Andrew won the 8-9 class, Margo Brown the 10-11 class, and Nicole Janeczek the 12-13 class.

The event was sponsored by the St. Ignace Recreation Department.

These seven players will advance to the second round of competition, which will take place at 11 a.m. at the Grand Traverse Civic Center in Traverse City Saturday, October 13.
