Straits Area Snowmobile Club Seeks Volunteers To Maintain Trails

The Straits Area Snowmobile Club is seeking volunteers for trail maintenance, brushing, and signing Saturday, October 27, and Sunday, October 28. Participants will meet at Little Bear East Arena parking lot in St. Ignace at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Anyone interested should contact Neil Hill at 643- 9374.

Volunteers are needed to cover 101 miles of trail. Brushing and signing will take place on the entire trail system. This year's major project will be widening the railroad grade north of Moran and Trout Lake.

The club has a few chain saws and pole cutters, but participants are asked to bring their own equipment if available.

Boxed lunches will be provided, and a gathering will take place Saturday night.
