County Courthouse Break-in Investigated

Abreak-in occurred at the Mackinac County Courthouse in St. Ignace sometime Monday night, October 29, or early Tuesday morning, October 30, reported Sheriff Scott Strait. The investigation is ongoing, but it appears that nothing was stolen, he said.

Deputies are evaluating video evidence and some items have been sent to the Michigan State Police laboratory in Grayling for analysis.

No suspects have been identified at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff's office at 643-1911.
