Recalled Ground Beef Sold at Glen's

Some ground meat is being recalled that was sold at Glen's Markets locations in Michigan, D&WFresh Markets, Family Fare, and Felpausch stores. Spartan Stores is joining the precautionary product recall by Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation.

Some ground meat product with sell or freeze by dates of October 29, 2007, or October 30, 2007, may contain E. coli bacteria. The meat was sold under lot number 451-153 81% lean ground chuck; 450-064 93% lean ground beef; 403-717 75% lean ground beef, and 451-146 81% lean ground beef.

If consumers still have any of this product, they are advised to discard or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund. There have no reports of illness connected with this recall.
